#Enderal walkthrough beginning how to
To choose your characters memory perks you must meditate using the powers key after learing how to meditate and selecting the meditate power in the menu. This will not work if your characters skill is above what the book can teach however. To increase your combat or crafting skills you have to read a book on the subject (looks like a thin, leather bound book) which will use up a combat or non combat learning point. When you level up from the above you gain the choice of wether to increase your character magicka / health / stamina along with some additional points which you can spend by doing specific things. You level up by killing things, finding new places, learning about the place & finding magical objects (looks like trhe top of a red glowing mage staff) which gives you experence. Play that character for maybe an hour and decide if you want to continue or restart. Heavy armor appears to increase spell costs - I noticed my magicka running out faster in mixed heavy, light armor & clothing but a normal rate with mixed light armor & clothing.įor the first character you the best thing you can do is try out the different styles of combat - melee, ranged & magic - and pice a race based on what you like the look of.

Race may have some effect later on but I does not appear to effect character leveling. Started a new character, choosing the redguard looking character and given the level up prompt I was offered the same amount of attribute point increases as the altmer looking race. From what I have read on the character creation screen one race seems to be better at magic (altmer / high elf lookalike), one seems to get an advantage in trade (the breton / imperial looking one) & the other two seem to get an advantage in combat (looks like nords & redguards). I have not noticed any major differences between the different races having only played the race that looks like high elves / altmer in the elder scrolls. You increase you characters level by gaining experence which is aquired by finding new places, killing anything hostile (wolves, Foxes, Crabs, Bandits, Undead, etc) & gaining knowlage from talking to people. You increase your skills by reading learning books which require a learing point which is gained when your characters level increases. Set items are not unique - I have come across multiple copys of some set items I found a few items from sets in areas you get directed to for side quests in the first major town you arrive at called riverville (Might be wrong about the name - its river something) along with some general enchanted items on the way there & in those same side quest areas.

> There is a specific series of books which mentions different memory combos which make up a class, Look out for books about a wanderer to find out more > The game hints at specific classes (which are added on your hero screen) which are unlocked by picking groups of memorys (I have not tried any of the following): I have not attempted the path of stealth yet but like the path of the warrior (not official names) coud have the potential to outperform a mage if you are willing to put the effort in.

However spells from the elementalist (destruction) do not full up the bar.īecoming a warrior can make you tough but requires a means to recover health without using just potions and / or magic - food works, more so if its prepared / cooked - but only out of combat.īecoming a mage can make you powerful quickly if you focus on increasing magicka exclusively, find some enchanted items to support that playstyle & know how to dodge. Healing potions & Spells are not the 'I win' survival trick that you can do in normal skyrim - A mechanic causes a 'magical poison' bar to full up when you use them which can be reduced by a fairly rare & expensive potion (called something along the lines of ambrosia). Trying to multi class (mage & warrior in my case) from the beginning is ineffective.

The mod does have cursing in it - both verbal & magical - but if you are old enough to play skyrim then it should not be a problem. Sopposedly the bards sing in german (untested) and I noticed that the window that pops up when yopu attempt to pick something without lockpicks is in german. The mod is origionaly in german but the english version has - from what I have played - the most important things in english.
